We Are All Going To Die!

Mahatma Gandhi

It is never too late to conduct an honest assessment of your life and how you are living.

Are you happy with most of the choices you have made?

Do you feel fulfilled?

Are you denying yourself the things you deserve?

Do you feel passionate about anything?

Do you feel needed?

Are you committed to small acts of compassion?

Are you caring for yourself…physically, emotionally and spiritually?

Does your life have meaning and purpose?

I try to live in a state of continuous improvement.  It can occasionally be disappointing, painful and heart wrenching when I have fallen well short of my expectations.  But, I definitely have the spirit of a marathoner and I don’t wallow in the quagmire of hopelessness and despair…I pick myself up and get immediately back to being the person I aspire to be.  It can also be extremely inspiring to end every day knowing you have made a difference, even on the smallest level.

I know that abundance is the breeding ground for neglect and ungratefulness.  Just ask a runner how much they appreciate the simple act of walking when an injury prevents them from running.

Whether it’s time or health, the foundation of living with greater purpose or meaning is taking care of YOU!  I make close observations about movement, nutrition, hydration, sleep, recovery,  stress management and attitude.  I am astonished by the imbalance I see in many of these areas.

The next chapter of my life will be more focused on consistent, moderate and functional movement and helping others achieve their goal of living with greater meaning and purpose!
